Sections of some trails in the Philippe Lake sector of Gatineau Park are closed due to the modernization of the Philippe Lake campground. The closures are required to secure the construction site.
Trails 51 and 55
- Schedule: Closed at all times from Tuesday, April 2, 2024 until Sunday, December 1, 2024.
- Location: Between Philippe Lake Parkway and Chemin du Lac-Taylor.
- Impact: To get to Taylor Lake or Philippe Lake, take Philippe Lake Parkway or Chemin du Lac-Taylor. Signage will be present to guide users.
Trail 50 (Philippe Lake Parkway)
- Schedule: Closed at all times from Tuesday, April 2, 2024 until Sunday, December 1, 2024.
- Location: From the intersection of Trail 50 and Chemin du Lac-Taylor to Smith Beach.
- Impact: To get through the area, take Trail 73 along Philippe Lake. Signage will be in place to guide park visitors. A section of this detour via Trail 73 is steep. A rope has been installed to facilitate passage. Bikes and dogs may have difficulty getting through.
