New National Holocaust Monument Planned

Logo for National Holocaust Monument

A national monument in memory of Holocaust victims and Canadian survivors is planned for Canada’s Capital Region.

This important new monument will ensure that the Holocaust has a permanent place in our nation’s consciousness and memory.

The NCC is responsible for approving the subject, location and design of new commemorative monuments on federal lands in Canada’s Capital Region.

On April 23, 2013, the Government of Canada announced the chosen location for the monument at LeBreton Flats, in Ottawa.
